See You in Dollywood!

Mediak at the Annual KidsFest Event

Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes a myriad of different theme park events. One of the most popular events takes place in Pigeon Forge, TN – the home of Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Theme Park. The park has much to offer, including many thrilling roller coaster rides, local arts and crafts, and music straight from the Smoky Mountains region.

Mediak is proud to announce that it will staff an exhibit space during the KidsFest event at Dollywood from June 17 – August 7. KidsFest is the largest children’s festival in the south, and we are looking forward to serving and meeting the many Dollywood visitors that attend the event each year.

Of course, KidsFest focuses on the kids, and returning to the festival is last year's Journey to the Center of the Earth, a four-dimensional theater that’s based on the film starring Brandon Fraser. In addition, there’s also a new "Silly Science Fair" children's activity center that will be open through July 23.

Also part of this year’s festival is Dolly's Imagination Playhouse, featuring the Penguin Players. This year's performances are based on "The Little Engine That Could," "Llama Llama Red Pajama" and the Skippyjon Jones series. The productions also feature music composed by Dolly Parton herself!

You can also see various “roaming characters” at the festival, including legendary outdoorsman Cas and his trusted companion Walker, the blue tick hound; Trapper and his lifelong companion Baxter Bear; and Patches the Scarecrow, who sneaked away from the Piggy Parade ride and is now strolling through Dollywood with his friends Piggy and Miss Penny.

About Mediak

Mediak is a quality-based company passionate about providing children with timeless personalized media. Since its inception, Mediak has maintained its role as the industry leader in the development of various technologies that enable the point-of-sale production of personalized media.

Established in 2001 by Charles and Junnie Sublett, Mediak initially provided personalized jingles on pre-made CDs but found a niche in made-to-order personalized albums the following year. The Point-of-Sale burner system was introduced in August of 2002 at the Grape Vine Mills Mall in Dallas, Texas. This technology allows a dealer to sell a product with no personalized inventory to maintain. Finally, retailers are able to make exactly what the customer wants, when they want it.

Based in Southern Indiana, directly across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky, Mediak now has owner operators, retail dealers, and distribution centers throughout North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Philippines, and Hong Kong. Mediak reached new parts of the globe in 2007 with the addition of Puerto Rico, Spain, and Ireland. With the recent introduction of our Spanish language albums, we are now looking to offer opportunities to dealers in Latin and South America.

The Mediak objective is quality and progression. Mediak prides itself in producing quality-personalized products that will remain timeless. These products deliver enjoyment, encouragement, and enlightenment. Mediak's founders are committed to the continual improvement and addition of new products and services, sustaining its reputable position.
